I had another idea for a fantasy parody. Here are what may develop into its two main characters.

Hm. Somehow I’d like to see 3-D models of them. Damn, must read up on that.

You have so many great ideas! Did this one come from your trip to London? How did that go by the way?

Thanks, Renee!
The “problem” is that I keep thinking of too many new concepts and don’t have much time to work out any of them. Perhpas it’s time to draw a line, sit down and put togteher more pitch books and write sample episodes (with storyboards). Luckily, we have enough material for Flyguy for the time being, although we’ll probably have to mail Nickelodeon the pitch as it wasn’t possible for Spacey to make an appointment with Peter Gal while he’s in the area.
The trip to London was great but I didn’t have much time to sketch or even take photos. I stayed at two friends’ flats and was always on the move. Finding your way around London isn’t always easy. Have you ever been to Europe?
Those two characters are from something which I intend to work into a concept that’s similar to Malfaruys in that it is a fantasy parody, but different in that it features more or less “decent” heroes as protagonists. Unlike Malfaryus, which focuses on parodies of books and movies, this project is meant to deal primarily with video game fantasy parody. I got the idea while rediscovering some much loved video game classics, the Legend of Zelda games I’ve always been fond of.

Be my guest. Just one thing, if you want to display the result on your page, please give me credit for the character design.

but of course. That is only fair as they ARE your designs. I am nnot going to take credit for work that I didn’t do.

Yes, I have the same problem with too many unfinished ideas. I have some that have been on the backburner for years that I really need to complete.
It’s good to hear that you enjoyed the trip. I’ve never been to Europe, but hope to go someday. There’s a lot of art that I’d like to see.
Zelda is one of my all time favorite game series, the other is Final Fantasy. It’s also going to be neat to see 3D versions of your characters.

I’m, let’s say, mildly fascinated by Squareenix games. They can be relentlessly animé and corny at times and sometimes I’m in the mood for that. Germany was deprived of all the 16-bit classics, by the way; the series didn’t become popular here before the success of animé, PlayStations and Final Fantasy VII. The Squareenix game I like best by far is Chrono Trigger.
I’m currently playing “Ocarina of Time”. I can see why some critics refer to it as the greatest video game ever.

FFVII was the first game I played from the series, and I’ve been hooked ever since. Ocarina of Time is a fun game. I still need to finish up The Wind Waker.
