I’ve been with Studio Soi for two months now and am absolutely loving it. The project is fantastic, the team great and the output met with approval. Work is challenging but not too stressful (yet), even though we need to up our weekly footage output.
The first scenes have come out of compositing and those guys are working wonders with the animation. I can’t wait until the first finished episodes.
I haven’t had much time yet to draw for myself but life drawing sessions may become a recurring event. Here are some sketches from our first of such outings:

Also, last year’s project in Munich, The Wild Soccer Bunch, will air on German channel KinderKanal starting Easter Monday.
I was on a posting hiatus because during all of August and September I was helping the storyboard crew over at WunderWerk out a little.
In 2012 The Wild Soccer Bunch (in 2D!) will hit German screens.
Although my contribution was comparably small, I had a very good time staying in Munich and I’m curious how the final series will turn out. The pre-production of which I was a part was very ambitious. Maybe in 2012, after the series’ German release, I get to show a bit of the bits I did …
